Several LTBB Departments are seeking to dispose of surplus equipment they have. In accordance with WAGANAKISING ODAWAK STATUTE 2012-015 ASSET DISPOSITION, the departments previously offered first right of refusal to all LTBB Governmental Departments and Enterprises on the surplus equipment listed below. No department expressed an interest in the equipment. We will now offer them to LTBB Tribal Citizens and public by way of sealed bid.

In accordance with Tribal law Waganakising Odawak Statute 2015-014 Open Meetings of the Tribal Council, “Public” means Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Tribal Citizens and their immediate family members.
All others excluding official business of Tribal employees, and appointed officials who request attendance at any Tribal Council meeting must contact a Tribal Councilor who shall forward such request to all of the Tribal Council members.

The LTBB Department of Commerce is gauging interest to see how many Citizens would be interested in attending an entrepreneurship workshop this summer.
The content goes beyond the “how to” for a business and instead covers broad entrepreneurial topics such as: do you really want to be an entrepreneur, what makes your businesses different than other businesses, business plans, etc. The workshop would be provided through RedWind Consulting, and funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the training material is through ONABEN. There would be no cost to participants and lunch will be provided.

The LTBB Department of Commerce has implemented a policy change regarding Resident Tribal Member address records. If Citizens have lived, or currently live, in the Tax Agreement Area and did not update their address with the LTBB Enrollment Department as soon as they moved in, they are now able to correct their address record to accurately reflect the time they have lived in the Tax Agreement Area.
