The Solstice team is gearing up for another great event this December and we want to make it extra special for the kids! To do this, the Niigaandiwin Education Department is hosting a toy drive to collect as many toys as we can to hand out at this year’s annual Children’s Solstice event. Toys are being collected beginning Tuesday, 11/8, through Wednesday, December 14th.

Tribal Council approved a per capita disbursement of $500.00 for 2022.  The LTBB Accounting department will mail out checks on or before November 10, 2022.

Tribal Council has Officially declared a vacancy on Tribal Council at their last meeting on August 25, 2022 and made the following motion, “Motion made by Councilor Fred Kiogima and supported by Councilor Melissa Pamp to declare a vacancy on Tribal Council. Vote: 6 - Yes, 0 - No, 0 - Abstained, 2 - Absent (Councilor William Ortiz, Secretary Marcella Reyes).”

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians’ Fisheries Enhancement Facility is hosting a Nmé Celebration at the Wolverine Village Park on August 27th 2022 at 1:00pm. This is a wonderful family event, where we can celebrate the return of this magnificent fish to the Sturgeon River. Lunch and refreshments are provided. Attendees will get a chance to release about 200 fish and send them off with kind wishes as the fish begin their long journey.
