In honor of LTBB's Ghost Suppers and Native American Heritage Month, I will be posting SPRING's Ghost Supper Presentation on the TVs throughout LTBB's tribal locations for the month of November. With that being said, I have re-opened the online submission form for anyone who would like their family member(s) to be featured that may have missed the deadline. The new deadline is November 10th at 5 pm.

Former LTBB Chairperson Gerald V. Chingwa walked on Thursday, October 12, 2023. The sacred fire is being held at the LTBB Government Center Fireplace, 7500 Odawa Circle, Harbor Springs MI, 49740.
Services are to be held Wednesday, October 18, at 1:00 PM at Stone Funeral Home, 2098 E Mitchell Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770. Committal will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs MI 49740.

Community Health is still looking for 3-4 community members who smoke or live with a smoker that would be willing to participate in an informal interview.  The interviews will be between June – September.  Participants will receive a $40 gift card at the end of the interview!!   If you are interested and are 18 years old or older, please contact Bert Rousseau 231-242-1601 no later than July 11th.

Please Advise! Aapide aapichigwa (really smokey)! Northern wildfires and winds have caused smoke to settle in our area. This smoke has caused an increase in the Air Quality index to MODERATE severity. Smoke can affect anyone, especially those who have lung conditions are at higher risks. If you or a family member has any lung conditions, including but not limited to: Asthma, COPD, Restrictive Lung Disease, Heart Disease,  or if they are Pregnant, please limit travel outside until the Air Quality improves.

Exciting news from our program. 🤩

We will be offering transportation to LTBB participants of the Michigan Indian Family Olympics (MIFO), starting with youth ages 9-20 years and Elders ages 55 and up! Limited seating is available so please sign up here: https://forms.office.com/r/w7ED2eQ6LP. LTBB participants of MIFO who do not meet the above criteria CAN still submit a request for transportation. We will place you on a waitlist and notify you no later than July 17th to inform you if space is available.
