This smoke has caused an increase in the Air Quality index to MODERATE severity. Smoke can affect anyone, especially those who have lung conditions are at higher risks. If you or a family member has any lung conditions, including but not limited to: Asthma, COPD, Restrictive Lung Disease, Heart Disease,  or if they are Pregnant, please limit travel outside until the Air Quality improves.

Breathing in smoke can affect you right away, causing:

  • Coughing
  • Trouble breathing
  • Wheezing
  • Asthma attacks
  • Stinging eyes
  • Scratchy throat
  • Runny nose
  • Irritated sinuses
  • Headaches
  • Tiredness
  • Chest pain
  • Fast heartbeat

Be ready to protect yourself against smoke and ash before, during, and after a wildfire.
