15 Nov Native American Heritage Food Box – CLOSED
Community Health along with SDPI would like to honor and celebrate Native American Heritage month by providing food boxes for Tribal families, just in time to add an alternative dish option for the upcoming holiday. From the Decolonizing Diet Project Cookbook, the traditional hearty Bison Stew with instructions and all ingredients will be available in the food box. If you attended the SPRING Fall Encampment event a few weeks ago, you may recall this tasty dish. If not, you’re in for a real treat.
Please see the attachment for more information on how to order. This is a PICKUP only scheduled for two days next week. Sorry no deliveries and it is a first order, first serve basis. DEADLINE TO ORDER IS BY THIS FRIDAY, 11/17, at 5pm. (Deadline subject to change.)
Tribal families mean the following:
- Any LTBB tribal family member
- Any Tribal family member from a Federally Recognized Tribe
- Any Descendant family member from a Federally Recognized Tribe
One box makes approximately 4-6 servings. Please order one box per family when signing up. Below is a link or you may use the QR code on the flyer to sign up.
