LTBB Moving from Phase 3.5 to Phase 2.5 Effective Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Due to the rise in cases within our region and COVID-19 activity within our government operations and community, we are making some changes and moving from Phase 3.5 to Phase 2.5 effective Thursday, November 18, 2021.

  • In-person governmental services will be provided to the community by appointment only.
  • In-person staffing will be limited to a maximum of 50%.  Employees not working in the offices will telework.
  • Employees are encouraged to only participate electronically with outside organization’s meetings and events.
  • Indoor/Outdoor events are prohibited unless approved by the chain of command and Tribal Chairperson.
  • Travel:  Business travel is cancelled until further notice.

With in-person office capacity going to 50% or less, there will no doubt be more employees telecommuting.  Telecommuting is approved at the discretion of each department director and it continues to be extremely important that telework is documented and productivity continues at an appropriate level for anyone who is approved for telework.  Also, department suites must continue to be covered at all times during normal business hours.  It is the responsibility of each director to ensure your department is covered.

Anyone who is not feeling well whether it is COVID-19 or another illness PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO THE BUILDINGS/OFFICES.  Please notify your supervisor and stay home.  We would like to keep as many illnesses out of operations as possible.  Also, it is really important that anyone who thinks they may have been in close contact with a covid positive individual or you think you may be having symptoms of Covid-19 or you think you might have Covid-19 to tell your direct supervisor immediately.  This is extremely important so we can start the process of our COVID-19 safety protocols as soon as possible.

Phase 2.5 is currently scheduled to end on Saturday, January 1, 2022.  The Emergency Management Team (EMT) will continue to monitor the pandemic daily/weekly and will notify staff immediately if there is a change in our government operations COVID-19 safety protocols.  All of us continue to be disappointed that the pandemic has continued this long and that cases in the region and within our community has risen lately.  We continue to be hopeful that cases will level off and decrease so we can get back to normalcy.

Let’s all continue to do our part by following all of the safety protocols and remembering the 3 W’s:  Wash your hands, Wear a mask, and Watch your distance.
